7.62x54R Ammo...

I told you a week or so ago about my recent ammo purchase. I bought a case of 7.62x 54R surplus stuff, actually, Joe Texan and I went in on it. Here is what it looked like after I got it out of the cardboard box.

The box is kind of cool and I wanted to keep it to store stuff in, but I damaged it getting the top off. I wasn't wearing my glasses and I asked my Youngest if these were nails or screws. She said nails, she might need glasses too, they were screws.

When you get the case opened, there is a big can opener attached to the inside of the box lid. You will need this, don't misplace it. If you buy a can of 440 rounds and not a case, you may not get a can opener. The cans are pain in the ass to open without the proper can opener.

Inside the crate are two tins of 440 rounds each.

Inside the tins are 22 paper packages.

  

Inside the paper packages are 20 nice, shiney rounds. 

I unwrapped all of mine and put them in an ammo can. I got one hell of a good price on this stuff from The Armory. I put a link to the previous post up top. Check it out, it has the price and all that good stuff. If you need a massive supply of 7.62x54R rounds, these are the guys to get it from.

Post Office is going belly up...

By September 30th of this year, the post office will be broke. They are scheduled to pay the federal government $5.5 BILLION in advance for medical costs for future retirees and another $1.3 BILLION for workers comp in November. They won't have the money though, they are broke.

And this is the same government that we are supposed to trust with our health care?

Our government does not have a clue about running a business. If you need even further proof than the post office, just look at their inability to manage the budget. I know it is a big ass budget, but damn, we are paying thousands of people to keep an eye on that stuff.

The post office is a symptom of a much larger disease. This is only the beginning. Stock up on ammo folks, it will be the currency of the future...

Buying Ammo Online...

I just bought a case of Russian 7.62x54r ammo online. I have to tell you, I am a cheap bastard so I look every where before I lay down my cash. These guys had the absolute lowest price I could find. Even after shipping it was much cheaper than I could get at Cabelas or local gun shows.

I gave $139.98 plus $26.00 in shipping for 880 rounds. And it was here in four business days.

The place is called The Armory and they have all kinds of good stuff. They sell a lot of Russian made ammo in popular calibers. I know, the berdan primed stuff isn't reloadable but the prices are outstanding. For a bunch of backup ammo for when shit hits the fan, you can't beat it. They do sell the usual boxer primed, brass case ammo too, so check that out as well.

The stuff I got is in sealed tins that are great for long term storage. Not that this bunch will stay sealed for long. Shooting my Mosin Nagant is too much fun to let all this ammo just sit around.
