On April 21, 1836, Sam Houston and an army of Texans kicked the ever loving crap out of santa anna at San Jacinto. It was after this battle that santa anna traded his life for Texas.

The Texans caught the mexicans taking a midday nap and kicked thier asses in 18 minutes.

This is the statue of Sam Houston that is near Huntsville, Texas. I have seen it many times. Sam Houston was a true Bad Ass and deserves a statue twice this size.
