Attorney: SWAT raid found guns, body armor

Go read this article from the Arizona Daily Star. It is about a SWAT raid. During this SWAT raid, five police officers fired SEVENTY ROUNDS hitting the victim SIXTY TIMES. There are a lot of strange things going on with this raid.

The SWAT officers fired 71 shots, striking Guerena 60 times. 

The search warrant was not directed at any particular person, and Guerena's name was not mentioned, but it was targeting whoever might be inside the residence, Storie said.

If SWAT members had been let into the home, those inside "probably ... wouldn't have been arrested," Storie said.

Now read the FOURTH AMENDMENT. I posted it a few days ago, but it is worth seeing again...

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

No matter what the victim was accused of, his 4th Amendment right was clearly violated by the vague nature of the search warrant. There is also some question about how the police approached the house. They claim the pulled up with lights and sirens blazing. The victims wife says she heard or saw no such thing. The police claim they didn't attempt to render aid because the victim fell into a side room when he was shot. A photo of the scene tells a little different story.

The police will wind up winning this, because, well, the dead guy can't really tell his side of the story. I'm a big supporter of law enforcement by the rules. When cops decide to take matters into their own hands, that's not good for any of us.

Did I mention that the victim was a Veteran who did two tours of duty in Iraq?

Way to go Kansas City, MO. Police Department!

Kansas City, Missouri is one the most dangerous cities in the Country. According to Neighborhood Scout the crime index in Kansas City is 2, where 100 is the safest. What a selling tool that is. The chances of becoming the victim of a violent crime in Kansas City are 1 in 68.

The reason I bring this up is because on my way home from work this afternoon, there were 6 Kansas City police officers, 4 cars and 2 motorcycles, running a speed trap on a one mile stretch of road. No, I didn't get a ticket. Wouldn't you think with crime statistics like what I gave you above that these guys would have more important stuff to do than write speeding tickets?

This is why our Country is in this mess...

Let me get this straight, the city of dayton is going to give people who aren't qualified a badge and a gun and turn them loose on the people of the city? Maybe they should give up the test altogether. Maybe just pass out guns and badges to anyone who wants one.

OMG! eric holder and his dumbasses are the biggest bunch of racists on the planet. What can they possibly be thinking? This doesn't have anything to do with race, there are just as many smart black people as there are white. It has to do with having qualified people protecting the citizens of the community.

So the standards need to be lowered because only the dumbass black people want to be cops? What if only dumbass white people applied? When they failed the test in large numbers would eric holder intervene then? I think we all know the answer to that, since the aren't "his people"...

The Dayton Police Department is lowering its testing standards for recruits.

It's a move required by the U.S. Department of Justice after it says not enough African-Americans passed the exam.

Dayton is in desperate need of officers to replace dozens of retirees. The hiring process was postponed for months because the D.O.J. rejected the original scores provided by the Dayton Civil Service Board, which administers the test.

Under the previous requirements, candidates had to get a 66% on part one of the exam and a 72% on part two.

The D.O.J. approved new scoring policy only requires potential police officers to get a 58% and a 63%. That's the equivalent of an ‘F’ and a ‘D’.

“It becomes a safety issue for the people of our community,” said Dayton Fraternal Order of Police President, Randy Beane. “It becomes a safety issue to have an incompetent officer next to you in a life and death situation."

“The NAACP does not support individuals failing a test and then having the opportunity to be gainfully employed,” agreed Dayton NAACP President Derrick Foward.

The D.O.J. and Civil Service Board declined Dayton’s News Source’s repeat requests for interviews. The lower standards mean 258 more people passed the test. The city won't say how many were minorities.

“If you lower the score for any group of people, you're not getting the best qualified people for the job,” Foward said.

“We need to work with the youth and make them interested in becoming law enforcement officers and firefighters,” said Beane. “Break down the barriers whether they are real or perceived, so we can move forward in this community.”

The D.O.J. has forced other police departments across the country to lower testing standards, citing once again that not enough black candidates were passing.

The Dayton Firefighter recruit exam is coming up this summer. The chief said it’s likely the passing score for that test will be lowered as well.Civil Service Board Announces Police Recruit Scores
